D03-SICHEINSATZ 80A GL-GG

Item #: L216716

Supplier Part #: L216716
Brand: Mersen

The D0 fuse-system is installed in low voltage distribution units, where fuse-links are accessible to non trained persons and can also be replaced by them. The system is the most modern of the screw systems and designed for 400VAC/250VDC networks. The D0 fuse range comprises the standardized fuse sizes D01, D02 and D03. The range of applications for D0 fuse-links for general application is the protection of cables and power lines. They limit and cut off unacceptable overcurrents and short circuit currents up to their nominal breaking capacity. D0 fuse-links "gG" also protect equipments and installations against dynamic effects of high short circuit currents.

DIN VDE 0636-3; Insulated body suitable for high mechanical and thermal impacts; Low power dissipation; Clear indication of operation condition due to coloured indicator un top contact; Optimized size; Top and bottom contacts made of nickel plated or silver plated copper alloy; Safe cut-off short circuits and over currents due to special design of fuse element; Resistant to aging

They protect electrical devices in case of unacceptable high short-circuit against destruction due high current limiting and low thermal let-through values. They cut off currents more than 6.3xln until the maximum breaking capacity (rated breaking capacity). Cylindrical fuse-links "aM" are mainly used for the protection of installation switch gear in otor circuit currents. For classification of the cylindrical fuse-links the nominal current of the fuse-link can be selected respective to the nominal current of the motor. Our technology and process was designed to ensure highly reliable technical performance.

The D fuse-system is the first generation of screw fuse-systems in the German DIN standard. It is still used in many installations. This D system comprises the sizes DII, DIII, DIV, DV. Those D ultra-fast acting “gR” ranges are dedicated to semi-conductor protection, in applications where fuse-links are accessible to non-trained persons and can also be changed by them. They are used for the protection of components such as diodes, thyristors or AC/DC motor drives. The “R” stands for the English word Rectifier. D fuse-links are available at the rated current range from 2A up to 200A.
